Oil on canvas undated landscape painting by Austin, Texas artist 

A. D. Greer depicting a lakeside scene of green trees near a rocky shoreline with misty purple mountains in the distance, all beneath a blue sky with encroaching white clouds.   Greer, a self-taught artist, was known for his luminous western landscapes and still life paintings. Signed lower left "A.D. Greer."  The painting is housed in a hand carved gilt wood rococo style frame with an openwork acanthus leaf scroll  motif.  The painting has been recently cleaned and is in excellent condition with light craquelure in several areas as pictured.

Pair of brown and cream colored 19th century full bodied  English Staffordshire earthenware  lions.  Each lion has glass eyes, painted open-mouth facial decoration and four distinctly modeled and separated legs and feet.  The lions are in excellent antique condition with light overall crazing to the glaze and ever-so-slight wear to the painted facial features as pictured.  Each lion is 11" high by 13 1/2" long by 7" deep.   Weight:  10 lbs. the pair.

19th Century Papier Mache' Desk Set with Mother of Pearl Inlay

 19th century English paper mache' desk set with elaborate mother of pearl inlay and gold painted scrollwork.  The square-form set has scalloped edges;  two faceted crystal ink wells with octagonal tops flanking a small raised stamp  box; an oblong pen well and a central storage drawer in front.   The desk set is ornamented with an elaborate pattern of inlaid mother of pearl pieces and rests upon four circular scrolled feet.  The desk set is in very good condition with losses of a few mother of pearl pieces as pictured.  15" long; 12" deep; 3" high. 

 Weight: 5.8 lbs.
